Privacy policy
Effective 6 November 2026.
Paper Walk uploader is a personal tool, run by the owner of the Paper Walk YouTube channel on their own computer, that uploads Paper Walk episodes to that channel. This page explains what it does with data from Google.
What it accesses
- Permission to upload videos and manage playlists on the owner's YouTube channel, through the YouTube Data API.
- The channel's ID and name, and its playlist IDs, to check that uploads go to the right channel and playlists.
- The IDs of the videos it uploads.
It does not read email, contacts, files, viewing history or any other data from the Google account.
How the data is used
Only to upload the owner's own videos as Private and add them to the channel's playlists. Nothing else.
Where it is stored
- The sign-in token is kept in one file on the owner's computer, readable only by the owner's user account.
- A local log keeps the ID, title and date of each video the tool uploaded.
There is no server, no database and no analytics. Nothing is sent anywhere except to Google's own APIs.
Sharing
No data is sold, shared or transferred to anyone. The tool does not sign in anyone other than the channel's owner, and collects nothing about other people.
Google and YouTube policies
Paper Walk uploader uses YouTube API Services. Its use of them is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Paper Walk uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting data
The token is kept until it is revoked or the file is deleted. Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account → Third-party connections, or through Google's security settings page. Revoking it stops the tool from reaching the channel at once.
Changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page, with a new effective date.
